Our client, a dynamic accounting and financial planning firm, is looking for a General Manager to lead their team. This is a full-time opportunity based in Murray Bridge, Naracoorte, or Bordertown where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing operations, driving strategic growth, and ensuring the ongoing success of the firm. If you're an experienced leader with a passion for managing teams and supporting rural communities, this could be the perfect role for you.

The General Manager will manage day-to-day operations while collaborating with the Directors to execute strategic business initiatives. You’ll oversee staff performance, business processes, and help drive growth across our regional offices. This role is integral in ensuring that all teams are aligned with the company’s objectives, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

An aspect of travel will be required, including visiting each office location on a fortnightly basis.

As the General Manager, you will:
Develop and implement the firm’s strategic business plan.
Lead bi-monthly management meetings and weekly virtual updates.
Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct employee performance reviews and coordinate with HR consultants.
Oversee internal projects and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Represent the firm at industry seminars and client events.
What we’re looking for:
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with Directors, staff and key stakeholders. In addition, you have:
Demonstrated success in driving strategic growth and improving profitability.
Strong financial acumen with solid business management experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in working with directors, staff, and stakeholders to align strategic initiatives.
An entrepreneurial mindset, particularly within rural client bases.
Previous experience in finance or professional services is highly desirable.
