We are hiring an Item Master Officer (12 months fixed term).
This role reports to the Inventory Manager. This important role will provide support to the business portfolio in managing product master data information to ensure accurate product set up. The role is critical in supporting the Blackmores operations, setting up on how a product is identified/classified so it is managed correctly. Product identification/classification will determine whether it’s an EOL, Active, New Product, Change and revised product ingredient/labels, BOM amendments etc.
The role also supports the Inventory Manager with Inventory parameters and the Inventory Management ways of working and will play a key role in identifying process improvements ongoing.
This role will be a 12 months fixed term and will mainly be based in Warriewood or across our other 2 sites in Surry Hills and Bungarribee with an expectation to work at least 3 days a week in office and 2 days a week from home.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing and maintaining item data in JDE /Oracle
Setting up new item – components & finished goods which includes providing item code, category codes, shopper segments, bill of material and routing
Planning Data maintenance - planner/buyer number, planning codes, planning fences, safety stock, ABC classification
Item Dimension setup – creating Item Dimension Group and adding the correct measurement in JDE
Maintaining Supplier Item Price catalogue
Assisting in product setup as per change request forms through Intelex
Item obsoletions – Requesting to write off for SLOBS and closing the SIP and Bill of materials
Conducting data clean up in the system of expired and/or unused data. Required to do data analysis and checking.
Working closely with the other stakeholders to ensure alignment of master data rules and the operations of the application meet all requirements.
Ensuring standard operating procedures are up to date with latest processes
Support Inventory Manager with Inventory Management administration and analysis
Support ongoing process improvements and projects

Who are you?
Previous work experience as an Item Master with exposure on data management relating to products management. Good to also come from a similar industry or nature of work that is comfortable to do data work.
Experience partnering and driving cross-functional collaboration with a wide range of internal stakeholders
Highly analytical, an eye for detail and a strong communicator to manage analytical and reporting work
