Pre-press Operator

Micro printing ltd. is a well-established printing company located in Mississauga. Currently, we are looking for an experienced and reliable pre-press operator with the experience of 10 years in offset printing.

Duties and responsibilities of the job:

Well organized and able to work with tight work schedules
Must be able to find the artwork problems related to fonts, colors, missing bleed and images. Find out the best solutions of the problems either ask customer for new files or make corrections in-house
Efficiently operate MAC and PC systems.
Must be familiar with drop box, we-transfer, Google drive, FTP and other file
transferring methods.
Rip files into the Apogee Plate making system, make job layouts and produce proofs for
customer’s approvals.
Knowledge of Adobe suite: In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator and Corel draw.
Ability to follow high standards of print quality and responsible for producing jobs as per customer’s requirements.
Excellent team player and follow manager’s given instructions
Should attend company’s training sessions, must be able to learn new printing
technology
Keep pre-press room neat and clean, do minor cleanup on plate maker: remove jammed paper from the auto loader, wash rollers of the processor or assist technician while periodic maintenance.
