About the role
BRC is seeking a Technical Content Creator / Product Documentation Specialist to develop clear, accurate, and visually consistent technical documentation for our products. This role is responsible for producing application guides, installation manuals, price guides, and other technical documentation used by customers, partners, and internal teams.

Working closely with Engineering, Design, and Product teams, you will translate complex technical information, CAD data, and specifications into easy-to-understand, high-quality documentation. This is not a marketing role—the focus is on technical accuracy, usability, and visual clarity.

Requirements

What you’ll do
Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including:
Application guides
Installation manuals
Price guides
Other product-related technical documents
Collaborate with Engineering and cross-functional teams to understand product functionality, constraints, and specifications
Work closely with the Design team to ensure documentation is visually clear, consistent, and aligned with product standards
Review 3D CAD models and engineering drawings to extract views, dimensions, and technical details for documentation
Produce and edit diagrams, layouts, and illustrations using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Translate complex technical and CAD-based information into clear, concise, user-friendly instructions
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and version control across all documentation
Update documentation to reflect product revisions, engineering changes, configurations, and pricing updates
Develop and maintain documentation templates, standards, and workflows
Support internal teams such as Sales, Support, and Operations with accurate technical reference materials
Create on-demand documentation to support evolving business and operational needs
What you bring
Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
5+ years of experience in product design, design engineering, or a manufacturing environment (or equivalent experience)
Strong project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities
High proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD; experience with SolidWorks PDM is an asset
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); SolidWorks PDM experience is an asset
KeyShot rendering experience is an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams

Technical & CAD proficiency: Ability to interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications
Design & visual communication: Strong layout, illustration, and visual consistency skills using Adobe tools
Written communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise instructions
Attention to detail & organization: Strong version control, accuracy, and documentation management skills
Collaboration & teamwork: Effective communicator who works well with engineering, design, and product teams
Time management & independence: Able to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Working Conditions

Hybrid work model; periodic onsite work at company locations (BRC, Tayco, Woodlore) may be required
Shift Schedule: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday including availability to support on Weekends if required.
Hiring Pay Rate: $55,000 to $65,000 Annually.
Ability to attend and conduct presentations
Regular use of desktop computers and peripherals
Overtime as required
