About the Role

Cowichan Woodwork Ltd. is seeking skilled and reliable Cabinet Installation Subcontractors from across Vancouver Island. You will install custom and pre-assembled cabinetry and millwork in residential and commercial settings, ensuring quality, precision, and client satisfaction. Supported by our installation and administration teams, you’ll have consistent opportunities to showcase your craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Install custom cabinetry, millwork, and related components (cabinets, countertops, crown mouldings, accent woodwork).
Read and interpret shop drawings and plans to guarantee accuracy.
Complete installations independently with professionalism.
Report deficiencies, shortages, or replacements to the Installation Manager.
Coordinate with contractors on plumbing, electrical, or structural discrepancies.
Maintain records of hours and expenses for billing (where applicable).
Keep the jobsite clean, safe, and organized during and after installation.
Follow WorkSafeBC standards at all times.
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years of cabinetry installation experience.
Proficiency in carpentry and accurate custom fitting.
Ability to interpret detailed shop drawings.
Own tools, safety equipment, and reliable transportation.
Physically fit (able to lift/install cabinetry up to 50 lbs).
Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Strong communication, math, and problem-solving skills.

Schedule & Location

Typically 8 hours/day, Monday to Friday.
Work located at various sites across Vancouver Island.

Pay: Up to $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Cobble Hill, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:

Cabinet installation: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Class 5 Licence (preferred)
Work Location: In person
