Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial services and financial accounting, with proven expertise in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft.

This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and delivering insightful financial management support across the organisation.

Key Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a UK-based accountancy practice at managerial level or above.
Demonstrated experience in client handling, including the ability to advise clients on UK tax and accounting matters.
Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations, statutory accounts preparation, VAT returns, and self-assessment processes.
We are looking for a proactive professional who can work independently, meet deadlines, and contribute to the growth and compliance of our practice operations.

Responsibilities

Reviews and examines bookkeeping records and VAT Returns to ensure accuracy and compliance of UK tax and VAT regulations.
Prepare and analyse financial statements in compliance with accounting
standards, IFRS, UK GAAP, and relevant regulations.

Prepare comprehensive financial reports and documents for various
stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Manages tax planning, compliance, and filing tax returns for individuals
and businesses.

Communicate the clients and finalise financial reports and tax and VAT returns.
Assess financial controls, risk management processes, and regulatory
compliance.

Analyses financial data to provide insights for management decision making.
Carry-out advisory services to expand businesses and create new jobs.
Review working files to ensure quality of works in line with ISQM (UK) -2 standard.
Experience

Proven experience in financial services or a similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge of UK financial accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is an advantage.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: £47,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
