Community Safety Security Officer

Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated security personnel to join our company for a pilot project as a community safety security officer. This would be a great experience for anyone wanting to get into law enforcement or even a career in security. In this job you will be away from home in a remote location approximately 3 hours away from Prince Albert. There will be free living accommodations along with a company vehicle to travel back and fourth to the work sites.
Responsibilities
1. Patrol and Surveillance
- Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of designated community areas.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal or unsafe behavior.
- Respond to disturbances and escalate to law enforcement when necessary.
2. Incident Reporting
- Document all security incidents, observations, and community concerns.
- Submit written reports to “The Agency” daily, or as otherwise requested.
- Record time, location, and nature of all incidents attended.
3. Community Interaction
- Engage with community members in a respectful and culturally appropriate manner.
- Serve as a visible and approachable resource to support safety awareness.
4. Liaison and Coordination
- Coordinate with RCMP or other law enforcement agencies where required.
- Report critical incidents immediately to designated Agency personnel.
5. Compliance and Conduct
- Comply with “The Agency’s” policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
- Abstain from the use of alcohol or drugs while on duty.
- Wear appropriate and identifiable attire while on shift.
6. Attendance and Scheduling
- Adhere to shift schedules as set by “The Agency”.
- Attend debriefing meetings or safety briefings as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a security officer or similar role is preferred.
Certification as a security guard in our province
First aid/Cpr certificate
Knowledge of first nation communities and culture
Preferences
- First Nation/Metis if possible (but will look at all diversities)
- Valid Class 5 license with good driving record
- Ability to work away from home, along with stay up in a northern community for a period of time.

This project we have going is a 6 month pilot project with great pay and accommodations. Its to begin within a months time and right now we are recruiting for serious candidates and only those chosen will be interviewed.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Casual
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 56 per week
Additional pay:
