Remember that feeling when you watched an incredible piece of AFL content and thought, "I want to make that"? Well, here's your shot!
Imagine not just watching but crafting the electrifying content that captivates millions of fans across Australia!
Join BALBOA – Foxtel Group’s Award-Winning Creative Agency. We're an in-house powerhouse, built by fans, for fans. BALBOA connects entertainment and sport brands with audiences through compelling creative and production. You'll be part of an awe-inspiring team, working on Australia's premier sports productions, especially AFL, reaching millions every week. This is your exclusive pass to the best seat in the house!
Reporting to the Associate Creative Director – Sport, you won't just edit; you'll create.
You'll be in Avid every day, creating work that brings the drama. Mostly AFL, because it's our biggest code, but you'll also sink your teeth into our diverse range of sport codes including Cricket, NRL, Motorsport, Golf and more.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the post-production process, cutting compelling creative from scratch using Avid, ensuring speed without compromising our signature quality.
Originate and develop innovative ideas, translating raw concepts into engaging scripts and visual stories that capture the essence of Australian sport.
Partner seamlessly with our talented designers and audio engineers to produce integrated, standout creative work that commands attention and stops the scroll.
Expertly adapt and optimise assets across our flagship platforms – Fox Sports, Kayo Sports, and Foxtel – ensuring brand consistency and maximum impact for each audience.
Efficiently manage and execute briefs from our traffic team, collaborating directly with the Associate Creative Director and marketing leads to deliver projects that exceed expectations.
This isn't just a role; it's your exclusive pass to the best seat in the house, where your creativity directly fuels the nation's sporting passion!
About your experience
A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cutting dynamic content within a fast-paced broadcast, sports, or media production environment.
Exceptional Avid editing skills, demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining the highest standards of quality and creative output.
Deep AFL knowledge. Past and present. We're talking stats, storylines, moments that matter. You live for the stats, the iconic storylines, and the moments that define the game.
A solid understanding of our other major codes. While you don't need to be an expert in everything, you instinctively know your cricket from your rugby league and can quickly grasp new sporting narratives.
A truly creative brain that doesn't just execute briefs but actively elevates them, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to every project.
The ability to embrace constructive feedback, iterate rapidly, and thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
A keen understanding of brand identity, tone of voice, and how to tailor content to feel authentic and impactful across diverse platforms.
