PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
As a Driver in our Automotive Compound, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional handling of new and used automobiles within a high-paced operational environment. This position involves hands-on work, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety standards while supporting critical transportation and inventory processes.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Safely load and unload motor vehicles to and from multi-level railcars
Install and remove wheel restraints on vehicles positioned on railcars
Shuttle vehicles within the facility to designated areas
Perform visual inspections of vehicles for damage and accurately report findings
Maintain inventory accuracy using handheld scanning devices
Climb ladders to access railcars and install steel bridge plates (approx. 40 lbs) between railcars
Follow all work instructions and safety protocols to ensure compliance and operational excellence
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or general equivalency
Minimum of 2 years of driving experience
Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays
Valid driver’s license
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to approximately 14 feet
Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions is required
Comfortable working in confined spaces as small as 5 feet high
Able to sustain physical work on a daily basis

This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.
