Fund Accountant Associate| Senior Associate

Equifind are recruiting for a Senior Fund Accountant (Associate/Senior Associate level dependant) for a top tier Global Private Equity firm (> $30Bn AUM)based in Greenwich, Connecticut. The role is broad, team dynamic and involves a lot of cross team collaboration and senior stakeholder partnering as well.

The firm in Greenwich, Connecticut HQ has offices in New York but also Globally and are well regarded in the industry with some very notable investments under their belts.

While being a medium size corporate, the sense of collaboration and striving for excellence and culture from the top down cannot be stressed enough. You will not be a cog in a large wheel here but senior management get involved and know everyone.

The role

The breadth in this role cannot be stressed enough also, Your primary responsibilities as a Fund Accountant will be:
• Assist in the invoice allocation and approval process
• Review cash transactions and reconciliations prepared by fund administrators
• Assist in the preparation and review of fund, general partner and co-investor financial statements, including partner capital account statements
• Analyze and interpret deal documentation for financial reporting purposes
• Work in conjunction with fund administrators and communicate necessary information
• Assist with capital calls and distributions for the Funds and co-investors
• Assist with quarterly and annual closings, including audit requests
• Assist with responding to investor requests
• Ensure controls are in place and accounts are accurate
• Work on various ad hoc projects for your direct line manager and the FC

Profile
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-4 years experience within a public accounting firm focused on PE/AM clients or within the industry itself at present
• Ability to thrive is a fast paced environment, tight deadlines
• Highly developed problem-solving skills and demonstrated critical thinking ability
• Proven ability to build relationships at all levels
