So are we. Join Compare the Market as a Data Intern and help to make financial decision making a breeze for millions.
At Compare the Market, we’re a purpose-driven business powered by tech and AI. We’re building high-performing, results-driven teams with the skills, mindset, and ambition to deliver outcomes at pace. Every role here plays a part in driving our mission forward, and we create an environment where you can bring your authentic self, grow a truly characterful career, and see the direct impact of your work on the lives of our customers.
We’ve carved a meerkat-shaped niche and we’re looking for ambitious, curious thinkers who thrive in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. If you love accountability, embrace challenge, and want to make a real difference, you’ll fit right in.
Our purpose is to make great financial decision-making a breeze for everyone - and that purpose drives us every day.
It’s why we’re on a mission to build an automated quoting engine, with a super simple experience, wrapped in a brand everyone loves.
We change lives by making it easy to switch and save money. So, when it comes to getting a better deal, it’s never been more obvious why you’d choose Compare the Market.
We’d love you to be part of our journey.
Embark on a transformative 10-week journey with Compare the Market as a Data Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in our dynamic Data organisation, gaining invaluable firsthand experience in a corporate setting. As a Data Intern, you'll collaborate closely with technical experts, and have the opportunity to work within either Data Management, Knowledge Graph or Smart Ops (RPA). Your role is pivotal in contributing to team success, while expanding your knowledge and skill set.
The roles can be based out of our Peterborough or London offices. (Please note the Knowledge Graph role is only based from our Peterborough office). The start date for this position is July 2026 and is ideal for someone about to start their final year at University.
Some of the great things you will be doing:
Develop cutting-edge Data solutions, pushing boundaries and setting new standards.
Collaborate with team members to deliver impactful projects, enhancing customer value.
Dive into complex problems, offering creative solutions and championing simplicity.
Gain insights into customer interactions with our products, driving innovation.
Embrace Agile methodologies and lean thinking, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Share knowledge, ideas, and findings with the team, contributing to collective growth.
Participate in team discussions, driving decisions with a customer-centric focus.
Support Smart Operations initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and automation opportunities, helping translate business needs into scalable, data-led solutions.
Contribute to Business Architecture artefacts (e.g. process views, capability mapping, data flows) to improve clarity, alignment, and decision-making across the organisation.
Engage in Compare the Market Data initiatives and wider community activities, fostering connections and learning opportunities.
What you’ll need:
A passion for Data, coupled with exposure to Excel, SQL and/or Python, and a solid understanding of statistics.
An active learner, eager to take control of your career development and make meaningful contributions to the team.
Naturally inquisitive, with a knack for creative problem-solving.
Confident communication skills, coupled with a drive to collaborate and contribute to team success.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive, with a thirst for knowledge and a pulse on industry trends and advancements.
We have three positions available: Smart Ops (RPA), Data Management and Knowledge Graph.
Why Compare the Market?
We’re a business built for pace and performance. Here, you’ll be encouraged to think differently, act boldly, and deliver brilliantly in a culture that values results and rewards progress.
We believe diverse teams make better decisions, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels empowered to grow, contribute, and thrive.
If you’re ready to stretch yourself, raise the bar, and grow with a team that’s serious about performance, innovation, and purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
