Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Mumbai as the Head of Production and Operations. In this role, one will lead the strategic direction, planning, and execution of all event production and operational functions and oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering world-class events that embody our creative vision and operational excellence.
This role demands a visionary leader who can balance creativity with structure, strategy with execution, and innovation with efficiency.
Key Responsibilities1. Departmental Management
· Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects to maximize output and profitability.
· Build cross-functional alignment with creative, client servicing, and finance teams.
· Lead and mentor the production and operations teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
2. Strategic Leadership
· Define and drive the overall production and operations strategy in alignment with company goals.
· Oversee all production processes to ensure consistent quality, scalability, and innovation.
· Establish departmental KPIs, monitor performance, and implement improvements to optimize operational efficiency.
3. Event Production Oversight
· Supervise end-to-end event execution — from concept development and planning to on-site management and post-event evaluation.
· Ensure production plans meet creative objectives, client expectations, and operational standards.
· Champion innovation in event formats, technologies, and production design.
4. Vendor and Partner Relations
· Develop strategic partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
· Negotiate and manage high-value contracts, ensuring cost efficiency and quality.
· Maintain a robust vendor network to support diverse project requirements.5. Financial & Budgetary Control
· Set and manage departmental budgets in collaboration with finance and senior leadership.
· Track and control all production-related expenses to ensure adherence to financial goals.
· Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
6. Quality and Risk Management
· Define and uphold best practices and quality benchmarks for production and operations.
· Identify potential risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
· Ensure full compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements for all events.
7. Client and Stakeholder Management
· Serve as the primary production liaison for key clients and senior stakeholders.
· Oversee communication and reporting to ensure transparency and satisfaction.
· Cultivate long-term relationships through strategic insight and flawless delivery.
8. Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Production, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
· Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in event production and operations.
· Proven expertise in managing large-scale, complex events across diverse industries.
· Strong leadership, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
· Financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage multi-crore budgets.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
· Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.
9. Salary
· 18 Lakhs per Annum plus Bonus related to performance.
