We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain,
and optimize KAD Travel’s database systems. This role is critical in ensuring data availability, security, performance, and reliability to support daily operations, reporting, and future system expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, manage, and maintain enterprise-level database systems
Design and maintain database architecture, schemas, and structures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability
Monitor database performance, conduct tuning, and proactively identify and resolve operational issues in production environments
Design, implement, and take responsibility for database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity
Enforce database security controls, access management, and compliance with organisational policies and standards
Provide operational support to application teams, including database design, optimisation, and troubleshooting
Manage database upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal impact to business operations
Develop and maintain database SOP, responsible for all data backup and data migration to new system if requires.
Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
Bachelor’s degree or above in Data Science, Information Systems, Statisitics, or related fields; and
Minimum of three years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of MySQL and/or Oracle database administration
Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, backup & recovery, and troubleshooting
Experience with database security, permissions, and data integrity management
Familiarity with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, or business platforms is a plus
Experience with cloud databases or distributed systems is an advantage
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Good communication skills in English, Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred
