Our recruitment team help support important conservation mahi across Aotearoa. Due to an internal movement, we’re looking for a versatile Recruitment Coordinator with experience in Recruitment and/or Human Resources who enjoys working in a positive, high‑volume team environment to join our distributed team. This is a short term, fixed term role great for someone wanting to build their skills and contribute to conservation outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Manage recruitment activity in Workday
Coordinate onboarding, including generating offer letters and employment documentation
Arrange and review pre‑employment checks and coordinate vetting
Support interview scheduling
Support candidates and new starters with their recruitment journey
Provide advice to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
Work in a distributed, fun and organised team environment

You’ll bring professionalism, energy, and proven experience in HR or recruitment, ideally with exposure to onboarding and vetting. You’ll be confident juggling a varied workload and providing hands‑on support to managers, candidates and colleagues.
We’re looking for someone with:
Previous recruitment coordination and onboarding experience
Familiarity with HR databases and applicant tracking systems
Strong time‑management and prioritisation skills
Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities
A decisive, action‑oriented approach and comfort in a fast‑paced environment
A collaborative mindset and adaptability
A passion for Te Papa Atawhai’s Kaupapa, with understanding of Māori Tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi

The salary range for this position is $65,070 - $75,981 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
