Product Designer | Manufacturing Industry

Responsibilities:
• Product Design and Development:
• Conduct reverse engineering of existing small portable sewing machines.
• Supplier and Manufacturer Coordination:
• Identify and vet suppliers and manufacturers for metal and plastic parts.
• Visit suppliers to understand technical requirements and capabilities.
• Source overseas suppliers for specific materials and obtain samples.
• Gears System Calculation:
• Perform detailed calculations and designs for the gear system.
• Ensure the gear system meets performance and durability standards.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all parts and the final product meet high-quality standards.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes.
• Cost Reduction:
• Analyze and implement strategies to reduce production and project costs.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices without compromising quality.
• Project Planning and Management:
• Create detailed project plans with clear phases and milestones.
• Lead the project from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Perform competitor research and market analysis to inform project decisions.
• Technical Research:
• Conduct online research to find innovative solutions and improvements.
• Funding and Financial Planning:
• Identify potential funding sources for the manufacturing unit.
• Assist in the creation of financial estimates and budgets.
• Continual Improvement:
• Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Experience:
• Proven 0-4years of experience in product design and manufacturing, preferably in small machinery.
• Freshers and Interns are also welcome
• Experience/Theoretical Knowledge of gear system design and calculation.
• Familiarity with reverse engineering processes.
• Demonstrated ability to reduce costs and manage budgets
