Key Responsibilities Of The Staff Accountant
• Develops and posts entries to the general ledger.
• Performs timely analysis of month end journal entries, such as prepaid expenses, depreciation, and AP and AR accruals.
• The staff accountant will prepare the monthly bank reconciliations.
• Coordinates and prepares sales tax reports for multiple states.
• Researches and resolves issues relating to financial statement analysis.
• Reconciles general ledger accounts and performs account analysis monthly.
• Communicates with staff and management to achieve resolution of accounting related issues.
• The staff accountant will work closely with other accounting staff members to meet department goals.
Preferred Qualifications Of The Staff Accountant
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• Non profit experience is a plus!
• Proficient in MS Excel
