Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Schedule: 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week
Location: Shop: +175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB

Requirements:
Full Complement of Hand Tools
Personal Reliable Vehicle
CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
Pre-employment:
Drug and ******* testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements
Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
Fitness to Work Assessment
Engine Rebuild Heavy Equipment Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic) Qualifications:
Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal – Off Road or equivalent
Must have between (5) and (10) years' Journeyperson experience
Off Road experience is REQUIRED
Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu components is REQUIRED
Experience with CAT Scrapers is Beneficial
Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED
Engine Rebuild Heavy Equipment Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic) Responsibilities:
Rebuild Cat, Komatsu engines
Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner
Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure
Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and overhauls
Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
