If this describes you, we are looking for a talented and ambitious Engineer-In-Training in our West Palm Beach office. If selected you will gain meaningful engineering experience on highway projects including roadway studies and design, drainage and utility systems, preliminary and final design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, project scheduling, and large, complex highway corridors.
When You Work at Stanley Consultants You Will:
Collaborate with and learn from experienced Professional Engineers and be mentored by industry leaders in transportation.
Support experienced engineers on transportation projects, including plan development for a comprehensive range of transportation design projects, including horizontal and vertical geometry, cross sections, earthwork modeling, 3D roadway modeling, quantities calculations, construction specifications, and utility coordination.

What You Will Be Doing:
Design roadway projects and associated components such as roadway pavement, stormwater drainage, signing and pavement markings, signalization, lighting, and utilities.
Prepare construction plans and develop roadway 3D models using computer aided drafting and design programs.
Prepare and check quantity calculations, design calculations, and engineering reports.
Conduct project site visits/investigations and attend construction meetings.
Research and understand City, County, State, Federal, and International Engineering Design Standards.
Adhering to company standards for quality control.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program.
Engineer Intern (EIT) registration required, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
0-4 years of civil engineering experience, prior relatable internship/co-op experience preferred.
Proven communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs.
Experience with or capable to learn Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil3D.
Experienced in and fully capable of using the Microsoft software suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Ability to work remotely based on business operations and the needs of the firm.
Proven strong work ethic and a collaborative team player.
Stanley’s Approach to Flexibility
While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a +/80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off!
