$60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Description
As an ESL Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting schools in providing instructional support for English Learners (EL) grades K-12. Your responsibilities will include assisting schools in developing instructional plans, providing ESL instruction to classes, small groups, and individual students, and supporting content area teachers of ELs in assigned schools.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have Current Alabama Teacher's Certification, a Bachelor's Degree or higher in ESL, Foreign Language, English, or Elementary Education. We also prefer applicants with at least three years of successful teaching experience and a preferred background in Bilingual Education, Linguistics, or Teaching English as a Second Language. Additionally, applicants fluent in Korean or Spanish, or those with reading, speech pathology, or special education backgrounds will be given preference. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

As an ESL Teacher, you will establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors. You will participate in monthly training/planning sessions with other EL teachers and facilitate contacts and interactions between the student's home and the school. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and adaptability.
