Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated English Language Trainer specializing in medical terminology to provide comprehensive language training to doctors and nurses. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving the English language skills of healthcare professionals, enhancing their communication abilities with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in English grammar and medical terminology, along with a passion for teaching, is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Customized Training Programs: Develop tailored English language training programs for medical professionals, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, and medical terminology relevant to their specific roles and specialties.
Engage and Educate: Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions that facilitate effective communication within a healthcare setting, encompassing patient consultations, medical charting, and interdisciplinary interactions.
Medical Context Integration: Integrate medical scenarios and case studies into language training to enhance professionals' ability to communicate accurately and confidently in clinical contexts.
Grammar and Language Skills: Provide targeted instruction on English grammar, syntax, and writing skills, enabling medical staff to write clearly, concisely, and accurately in medical documentation.
Pronunciation and Enunciation: Assist learners in refining their pronunciation, enunciation, and comprehension skills to ensure clear and effective communication with patients and colleagues.
Assessment and Feedback: Conduct regular assessments to gauge learners' progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback for continuous growth.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training activities, progress, and outcomes for reporting and analysis purposes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience as an English Language Trainer, preferably within a medical context, with a focus on medical terminology.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and common healthcare procedures.
Proficiency in English grammar, writing, and verbal communication.
Certification in TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or similar language teaching qualifications is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with medical professionals from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Adaptable and flexible teaching style to accommodate various learning preferences and levels.
