Responsibilities
At Star Construction, as a Operator Telecom Drill Bores, you’ll operate a variety of equipment, used in installation/repair/maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner
You will safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
You will restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
You will develop and maintain a bore schedule
You will be responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
You will load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
You will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis – JSA prior to starting construction
You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
Occasionally: Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces
