Position summary

Based in Upper Hutt, New Zealand the principal purpose of this role is to support the efficiency and performance of the business through diligent preparation and cleaning of equipment.

Duties Performed

Meet Environment Health and Safety requirements by adhering to safe operations through

Attendance at scheduled training sessions
Awareness training
Assistance with safety audits
Timely hazard reporting
Accident and incident reporting
Housekeeping of work areas
Support the achievement of Production targets by:

Ensuring equipment & portable tanks are prepared and available per scheduled plans
Cleaning, sterilization and decontamination of equipment and portable tanks to plans
Operation of autoclaves per approved procedures
Recording of activities & results in real-time on approved documents (e.g. in-process checks/ tests)
Performing general departmental duties including but not limited to:
Routine water sampling
Cleaning of preparation areas
Plant checks
Meet Quality and GMP requirements by:

Adherence to GMP compliance and Site Quality Management Systems
Participation in internal audits
Maintaining work areas to acceptable standards
Meet Biosecurity requirements for handling materials, equipment and tanks with importation, in-vivo or in-vitro permit conditions

Education and experience

Good technical aptitude
Good organisational skills
A few years work experience is preferred (for example working in food production related role) is preferred
This job requires the employee to work overtime as needed
The successful applicant must be Covid 1+ double vaccinated
Employees must undertake a pre-employment medical prior to commencing work in the Production area. Physical and visual activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job include manual handling such as: sitting, standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, carrying, reaching, lifting, handling as well as speaking and hearing. Specific vision abilities required for this job includes close and distance vision.
Computer literacy and record keeping experience would be an advantage
