About Us

Biotecture Inc. is evolving into a multidisciplinary parent company advancing socially responsible architecture, real estate development, innovation, and strategic foresight. We are grounded in principles of justice, sustainability, and community resilience, and we prioritize partnerships that benefit historically marginalized and equity-deserving communities.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced EDI consultant for a short-term engagement to review and refine external positioning materials across four divisions: our architectural firm, real estate development group, innovation labs, strategic foresight/futures studio, and foundation. Your input will help ensure our language, tone, and framing meaningfully reflect our equity commitments and do not inadvertently cause harm.

We anticipate the total project requiring 5–10 hours between July 15 and August 30, with flexibility depending on consultant availability.

Key Responsibilities

Review 5 short positioning statements (1–2 pages each)
Review and contribute to additional materials such as onboarding content and high-level communications
Identify areas where language, tone, or framing may unintentionally exclude or misrepresent communities
Provide clear, actionable suggestions that align with EDI best practices
Offer high-level advice on inclusive communications strategy
Participate in one or two follow-up calls (30-60 minutes each) to clarify feedback and finalize recommendations if required
Who You Are

You may come from a consulting background or have equivalent lived and professional experience in advancing equity and justice. We value community-rooted knowledge, cultural humility, and practical insight just as much as formal credentials.

You may be a great fit if you:

Have demonstrated experience in EDI consulting, ideally within the built environment, nonprofit, or social innovation sectors
Have deep understanding of inclusive and justice-based language
Are able to work independently and deliver feedback within a 1-2 week timeframe
Thrive in collaborative, values-driven work environments
Bonus if you have:

Familiarity with architecture, real estate, and/or urban planning
Experience working with Indigenous communities, racialized groups, or disability justice frameworks
A background in inclusive communications or design justice
To Apply:

1. Apply on Indeed

2. Or, send a short note of interest (in any format – written, video, or audio), CV, and your rate or fee range to hannah@biotectureinc.com by July 1, 2025.

Please note: We thank all applicants for their interest. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

We welcome and encourage applications from equity-deserving groups, including Indigenous, Black, racialized individuals, people with disabilities, members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and those with lived experience of marginalization. If you require accommodations to apply, please contact hannah@biotectureinc.com and we’ll be happy to support you.
