Being a wedding day assistant is an ideal part-time opportunity to demonstrate responsibility, dedication, and high-level service.

Details of this Role:

Our events are often multi-day South Asian weddings, typically spanning Thursdays to Sundays. Days are lively and fast-paced, averaging 12-16 hours, often into the night, with opportunities for destination weddings in other states or even countries. In addition to event days, we require attendance at timeline meetings, site visits, and essential preparation meetings based on the event scope.

Commitment: While this role is on an as-needed basis, we require Day of Coordinators to commit to executing at least 8-10 events annually, committing to availability 8 months in advance. This ensures we deliver a consistent, reliable experience for our clients.

• Are proficient with Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and available on weekends and weekdays

• Can lift 30-50 pounds and walk ~10,000 steps/day if needed

• Communicate clearly and professionally with vendors, clients, and the wedding party

• Collaborate well with the planning team, vendors, and venue staff
• Love to problem-solve, are proactive, and have an eye for solutions

Tools You'll Need
• Regular access to a laptop, phone, and WiFi
• Professional wedding-day attire (neutral or black)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Reliable coverage and emergency plans for any personal obligations (pets, children, etc.)

Overview of Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee day-of setup, including vendor and decor setup
• Coordinate ceremony and reception setup, assisting with VIPs as needed
• Provide overall guest direction and maintain event flow
• Facilitate vendor communication and maintain consistency throughout the event
• Coordinate the timeline, ensuring all aspects stay on schedule
• Set up small items and assist with event troubleshooting
• Oversee event clean-up and provide support to the lead planner as needed
