About Us:
Porch Kitchen Cocktails is a Contemporary Westcoast Mediterranean Restaurant in the heart of Calgary. We have grown steadily since our opening in 2021 and are looking to bring on a full-time Event Coordinator/Office Manager. As this is a new yet vital role for the restaurant, it presents a great opportunity to build a strong future as part of our ever-growing team.
Job Description:
We are looking for an Event Coordinator to join our management team. Our restaurant is a popular spot for larger groups to get together for special occasions, company functions, and social events. This role will support our management team by responding to our guests' emails, working alongside our guests to show them our space and menus helping them pick the event package that suits their visit best, and coordinating with our Chef and Kitchen Staff to arrange set menus when required.
We are motivated to deliver exceptional service for every guest, every time. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for making sure that all restaurant policies and procedures are followed by coordinating and over-seeing the planning, organizing, and delegating of work among the team members. The primary goal is to ensure that we, as a team, provide exceptional service and ensuring that the business operates effectively and efficiently.
Your Role:
· Professionally exchanging emails with potential and current guests to assist with booking reservations and larger events
· Organize and coordinate all people within different operations
· Guide team members, managers, and shift leads to properly execute the guest's vision
· Attend management meetings, team meetings and training opportunities to maintain alignment and harmony within the team
· Develop and assign tasks to team members and oversee completion
· Collaborate with management to achieve revenue goals and meet budget standards
· Establish high standards for guest service
· Work alongside with the Bar Manager and Chef to create custom event menus
· Designing and printing of menus and marketing material
· Helping design and the execute systems for the restaurant
· Helping the management team stay organized with admin work

Compensation:
· $20 hourly during training/trial period while you work with current Event Coordinator
· $45,000- $55,000 yearly salary depending on experience and impact
· Commisions on a large parties booked
