Events Officer

Role Summary

Are you passionate about making a difference and skilled in event planning? Join our dynamic charity team as an Events Officer! In this role, you’ll be responsible for organising a variety of fundraising events, from exciting challenge events to community gatherings. Your creativity and organisational skills will help us engage supporters, raise vital funds, and increase our charity’s impact. Key Responsibilities
• Plan and manage assigned events, ensuring all necessary permissions and health and safety requirements are met.
• Develop and expand our Events Programme.
• Implement systems to understand and build long-term relationships with our supporters.
• Create a seamless and rewarding supporter journey and stewardship plan.
• Maximise the return on events expenditure.
• Identify new opportunities to engage with potential supporters and enhance existing relationships.
• Collaborate with the wider team to raise the charity’s profile across local and surrounding areas.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Support the integration and collaboration of communications planning and execution across all teams.

Skills and Experience
• Proven experience in planning and delivering successful events fundraising programmes.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in building reach and engagement across various events or fundraising activities.
• Experience in a charity or not-for-profit organisation.
• Experience working with external partners or sponsors.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations, health and safety requirements, and general laws.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a knack for storytelling.
• Experience in event marketing, including tools, systems, and performance monitoring.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and creative with the ability to make a difference.
• Proven experience in understanding and engaging with audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
