Job Title: Event Planner/Coordinator Department: Operations
Status: Full Time – Exempt Wage: $65,000 /yr Salary
Office Hours: Monday‐Sunday, 40‐50hr work weeks, work days vary based on events

General Position Summary:
The Kois Center is a continuing education facility for dental professionals. Customers travel from throughout the world to attend five to six day courses at our facility in Seattle. The Kois Center offers approximately five courses each month, which typically looks like one course per week. The role of an Event Planner is to manage all aspects of course execution as well as the continual growth of customer relationships. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and must provide superior customer service as you will be in constant communication with our customers in regard to course participation, registration, payment and overall correspondence. Additionally, this position will handle secondary functions as listed below.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
• Provide an exceptional course experience in regard to organization, preparation, execution, and follow up.
• Create and grow customer relationships.
• Course Execution: Manage a course from start to finish – there are responsibilities before, during, and after a course.
• Office Support: Variety of office responsibilities which are shared among the Course Manager Team. Examples: Maintain office and course supplies, assist Dr. John Kois with various tasks, shipping and receiving.
• Course Support: Variety of support responsibilities for course execution which are shared among the Course Manager Team. Examples: Creation and stocking of course supplies, room setup and breakdown.
Secondary Functions:
• Member Leadership – Be the primary liaison to/from the Kois Center.
• Manage vendor relationships as assigned.
• Assist with additional roles and projects as needed.

Education and/or Experience: The candidate must possess the following minimum experience:
• 4 year Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a focus in hotel/hospitality, business or communication
• Three or more years of experience in a customer service role
Job Conditions: This position will require the following abilities:
• Available for a rotating schedule that includes evenings and weekends
• Available for seasonal overtime hours
• Sit and work at a computer/desk for extended periods
• Stand on your feet and socialize with customers for extended periods
• Ability to climb staircase
• Lift and carry at least 25 pounds (ie: boxes, supplies, etc.)
• Perform office errands: valid driver’s license
• English fluency required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
