Position Summary
Coordinates, implements and manages events for department. Develops and facilitate plans that include logistics, budgeting, space planning, vendor management, program details, communication needs and other details to make events successful. Provides administrative and event support for designated Center.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manages, coordinates and provides operational functions for both internal and external events, special functions and conferences, etc.
• Develops budget and ensures budget is adhered to.
• Considers appropriate logistics, ensuring space needs, reservations, appropriate permits, consideration of applicable safety precautions, parking, vendor management, food and other details are managed appropriately.
• Builds relationships with university partners at schools, departments and with staff in executive leadership offices, as well as external vendors and attendees.
• Assists in the creation of building usage proposals and conduct site tours with interested parties.
• May provide oversight of large teams of employee and student volunteers to effectively support the rollout of events and activities.
• Facilitates planning meetings with committees and volunteers.
• Assists in the publication and promotion of events.
• Administers conference software.
• May hire, train, supervise/evaluate student workers.
• Reviews and analyzes post events to determine successes and future event improvements.
• Provides logistical and administrative support for Center activities, including event and course management, recruitment, compliance, records and reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
