Global Exhibition & Events Manager
Position Summary:
The Global Exhibition & Events Manager will lead the strategic direction, planning, and execution of the company's global events and exhibition programs. This role requires developing an overarching strategy to streamline existing functions, expand the branded physical events program, and enhance global presence. The Global Exhibition & Events Manager will work closely with internal and external Stakeholders to ensure successful event outcomes that align with the company's marketing and business objectives.

Developing Global Events Strategy:
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to create a comprehensive global events strategy.
• Align event strategies with overall marketing and business objectives.
• Incorporate both industry participation and proprietary events into the strategy.
Setting Event Goals and KPIs:
• Define measurable goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for each event.
• Track success metrics such as lead generation, brand exposure, networking opportunities, and ROI.
Event Planning and Execution:
• Plan, coordinate, and execute global exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and other events.
• Handle venue selection, booth design and setup, logistics management, staffing, scheduling, and budget management.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
• Identify, select, and manage global vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
• Oversee services including booth construction, audiovisual equipment, catering, signage, and promotional materials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with marketing, sales, product, branding, and regional teams.
• Ensure alignment and integration of event strategies with broader marketing and business objectives.
Event Marketing and Promotion:
• Develop and implement strategies to drive attendance, engagement, and participation at global events.
• Utilize channels such as email marketing, social media, advertising, PR, and content marketing.
Lead Generation and Follow-Up:
• Implement effective lead generation strategies at events.
• Develop post-event follow-up plans to nurture leads and track conversion metrics.
Event Measurement and Analysis:
• Use event management and analytics tools to track and analyze performance metrics.
• Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders to optimize future events.
Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards for events.
• Mitigate risks and liabilities associated with event planning and execution.
Budget Management:
• Develop and manage global event budgets.
• Ensure accurate forecasting, cost control, and adherence to financial targets.
Event Technology and Innovation:
• Stay current with event technology trends and innovations.
• Implement relevant solutions to enhance attendee experience and streamline operations.
Speaker and Presentation Management:
• Coordinate recruitment, briefing, and logistics for event speakers.
• Ensure alignment with event objectives and messaging.
Logistics and Travel Management:
• Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for staff.
• Manage logistics including shipping, customs clearance, and on-site coordination.
Post-Event Evaluation and Reporting:
• Conduct evaluations to gather feedback and analyse event data.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for future events.
Training and Development:
• Provide training and guidance to regional teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure consistent execution of global event strategies and adherence to brand standards.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Education/Experience: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of event management experience, with at least 3-5 years in a global or senior role. Experience in a science-based industry is desirable.
Language Ability:
Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public. Working knowledge of/Fluency in the English is essential and an additional European language would be desirable.
Mathematical Ability:
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software, order processing systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with HubSpot CRM is preferred.
