Are you energized by bringing people together for a great cause? Do you love creating memorable experiences that inspire community support for youth? Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver (BGCMD) is looking for a mission-driven professional to elevate our signature events and fundraising efforts.


As the Events Manager for BGCMD, you’ll help design and execute events that fuel opportunities for the young people who need us most. You’ll work alongside caring teammates, dedicated partners, and passionate supporters to make every interaction meaningful. We’re actively searching for someone who:

Understands the nonprofit landscape. You’ve supported fundraising or advancement work and can confidently navigate donor databases or event management tools like RE NXT (or similar platforms).

Works well with partners. You enjoy working across teams and communities to bring ideas to life and strengthen shared goals.

Communicates clearly. Whether you’re guiding a volunteer, supporting a donor, or providing system support, you adapt your communication to ensure everyone feels equipped and informed.

Finds solutions with purpose. You understand the “why” behind fundraising and stewardship and use that insight to support high-quality donor experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management or a related field from an accredited university or college.
Three years' experience of demonstrable planning of large-scale events (i.e., event planner for corporate golf tournament)
Equivalent work experience directly planning events in a similar role may be substituted on yearly basis.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate in this position should possess:


Strong Interpersonal Skills – Ability to work effectively with external and internal partners to establish and build relationships

Prior/Current Expertise – Working for a nonprofit organization. Performing duties and responsibilities involving fundraising. Hands on experience with event management software (i.e., RE NXT or similar donor database)

Adaptability – Comfortable adjusting approaches based on varying needs, settings, and schedules.

Collaboration – Skilled at building strong relationships with partners, internal teams, and community resources.

Strong Communication – Clear and professional communication to provide technical support to users of all levels and backgrounds.

Problem Solving – Knowledge and understanding of fundraising, charitable giving, and donor relations.


Conditions of Employment


Must be able to pass screenings for criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy.
The successful candidate will primarily work indoors. Accordingly, the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment is required.
The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs.
Strong English proficiency is required for this position to ensure effective communications with staff, Club members, and families, as well as to follow safety and procedural guidelines accurately.
Job Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Annual Salary Range: $53,120 - $60,000

Hours: Monday -Friday; 40 hours/week

Location: This position works primarily at the Program Support Center but may occasionally work from other BGCMD facilities as necessary. All remote work and other flexible work arrangements must be approved prior to implementation.
