The Role You Could Play



We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and innovative Event Manager in our talented Events team to deliver the magic that is eventing at MECCA! You will be responsible for delivering an engaging program of events and activations, which bring the unique MECCA experience to life across Australia and New Zealand. This role is critical in MECCA’s vision to deliver global best-in-class retail experiences, distinctive memories and moments for our customers, brands and teams.



As an Event Manager, you will ensure that all projects are delivered in line with brief and objectives with a strategic focus, such as brand awareness and engagement, education, social engagement, footfall and revenue. The role requires you to be strategically minded, highly organised and leading end-to-end event management with strong attention to detail. You will be working holistically with numerous internal and external stakeholders to seamlessly deliver every stage of event production from strategy and ideation to planning, execution, and evaluation. The role has a strong focus on creating market-leading and innovative external customer, partnership and PR events, as well as supporting the wider MECCA Event team on internal events and initiatives.



Some of your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of events and experiences at MECCA for the business, our brands, and our teams across Australia & NZ in line with the overarching marketing campaign, brand strategy, and objectives.
Approach each event with a strategic and innovative mindset to ensure the experiences deliver on MECCA’s strategy and all agreed KPIs (commercial, coverage and engagement).
Work collaboratively with internal teams such as marketing, creative, and retail to translate briefs into experiences and influence teams cross-departmentally to ensure all activity has a 360-approach.
Work closely with the Senior Event Project Manager on management on events planning, processes and documentation alongside supporting the more junior team members across their projects.
Prepare and maintain all event documents relevant to each event (concept designs, critical paths, site plans, risk assessments, run sheets etc.)
Manage a strong network of brand-aligned suppliers and partners - from caterers to local councils.
Executing events on-site and leading teams for delivery including travelling to locations across Australia and New Zealand.

What You Will Bring



You will be a creative and innovative thinker with extremely high attention to detail and problem-solving skills. In this highly collaborative role, your exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills will be paramount to your success, alongside an outstanding ability to influence others across all levels within the business as well as external suppliers and contractors.



In addition to a passion for beauty and an instinct identifying trends, our ideal candidate will have:

Strong experience as an Event Manager or Producer within the beauty, fashion, luxury or event industries
Experience in event production, across small and large-scale brand activations
Exceptional project management skills including planning, communication, time management, delivery pathways, influencing others, and negotiation
Extensive technical knowledge of events and brand activations including experience design, activation infrastructure builds, AV, production, event admin, OH+S and risk management skills
Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven, concise decisions
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, flexible, team-based environment
Understanding of the legalities and parameters around running events including council and permit requirements
Appetite to travel for events and experiences
