We are seeking to appoint an Events Specialist on a full time, 12-month maximum term contract.

Reporting to the Events Lead, the Events Specialist plays a key role within the Events team to plan, organise and execute internal and external events within Olympus Australia and New Zealand.

With experience in corporate event management, particularly within the healthcare industry, the Events Specialist ensures that each event aligns with Olympus exemplary standards and that we are consistently represented across all activities.

Working closely with the corporate, marketing, and education departments, the Event Specialist manages the full end-to-end event management process to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Leveraging your skills, knowledge, strong relationships and proactive attitude, the Specialist is responsible for contract management, event timelines, stakeholder management, equipment logistics, booth building, internal communications, document management, and budget control, while also effectively working as a team, drawing on the expertise of various departments to ensure comprehensive event planning and execution.

Key Accountability areas include Events Management, Agency/Supplier Management, and Contract Management.

What We Are Looking For

Proven ability to manage the end-to-end coordination of multiple complex events at once, with advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and Office365

Advanced office administration procedures including the utilisation of the latest tools and technologies for optimising office operations
Sound knowledge of PR and marketing initiatives
Exposure to SalesForce.com an advantage
Proven ability to organise and maintain workflow to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and ability to manage tasks efficiently.
Holistic approach to problem-solving
Strong interpersonal, communication, verbal, written and listening skills.
Ability to handle pressure in a busy environment.
Ability to work in a team-based environment.
