Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Executive Accountant at Ruuh Studios in Jaipur.
Job Overview:
You will oversee the financial operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, managing the accounting team, and providing financial insights to aid decision-making. You will also manage inventory accounting specific to jewellery, including cost of materials, stock valuation, and working capital control.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities such as journal entries, ledger accounts, and reconciliation of bank statements.
• Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect accurate financial transactions.
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Manage payroll processing, ensuring compliance with statutory deductions and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of jewellery inventory, tracking purchases, sales, and returns.
• Oversee the costing and valuation of raw materials (precious metals, gems, etc.) and finished goods.
• Coordinate with production, sales, and procurement teams to optimize cost control and pricing strategies.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Experience in the jewellery or luxury goods industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Competencies:
• Experience with inventory management and valuation in the jewellery industry.
• Knowledge of international trade and foreign exchange transactions related to precious metals and stones.
• Familiarity with costing methodologies for high-value, low-volume goods.
