Major duties:

The SPC functions as a coordinator of care for veterans at high risk. Tracks high-risk patients and monitorstreatment to ensure that needed services are being received.
Completes consultations from the National Suicide Hotline.
Plays an active role in the Suicide Prevention Team by performing individual case reviews, assisting with thepreparation of yearly aggregate summaries, and facilitating the implementation of system improvementrecommended by the Team.
Provides training to clinical and non-clinical staff in the Medical Center, CBOC's and community about risk factors,warning signs, treatment options and resources.
Establishes an on-going Gatekeeper Training program with non-clinical frontline staff to assure that they are awareof options for patients whom they come in contact during crisis situations.
Promotes the use of evidence-based interventions and strategies for suicide prevention in the medical center.
Develops and distributes outreach materials to include brochures, fact sheets, web content, and other targetedinformation which highlights suicide prevention, warning signs and risk factors.
Develops and implements an ongoing plan for providers, veterans, families and members of the community on riskfactors and warning signs for suicide and treatment options.
Independently coordinates, plans, designs, implements the program, determines program goals and objectives, andcompletes reports for the VISN or VA Central Office. Results of the work are considered technically authoritative andare normally accepted without significant change.
Prepares and maintains administrative records, databases, and reports in accordance with VACO and localguidelines.
Develops and monitors quality improvement measures. The incumbent formulates and implements an internalevaluation process through which progress toward goals and objectives can be objectively monitored. Implementschanges based on the results of evaluations and performs impact assessments of these changes. Ensures that anyrequired external evaluation of the program is submitted within established time frames.
Interfaces with services throughout the medical center, including but not limited to medical providers and patientadvocate, to resolve administrative and clinical problems. This includes collaboration on individual patients and thecoordination of medical care within the treatment team.

(1)Experience and Education. One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstratepossession of advanced practice skills and judgment, demonstrating progressively more professional competency.Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professionalorganization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervisedprofessional experience.
(2)Licensure/Certification. Individuals assigned as social worker program coordinator must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level and must be able to provide supervision for licensure.
(3)Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. In addition to the experience above, the candidate must demonstrate allof the following KSAs:
(a)Knowledge of program coordination and administration which includes consultation, negotiation, and monitoring.
(b)Knowledge and ability to write policies, procedures, and/or practice guidelines for the program.
(c)Ability to supervise multidisciplinary staff assigned to the program.
(d)Skill in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting multiple deadlines, and evaluating assigned program area(s).
(e)Ability to provide training, orientation, and guidance within clinical practice.
(4)Assignments.
For all assignments above the full performance level, the higher-level duties must consist of significant scope, complexity (difficulty), and variety and be performed by the incumbent at least 25% of the time. Program coordinators at the GS-12 grade level are administratively responsible for a clinical program providing treatment to Veterans in a major specialty area, such as but not limited to: Spinal Cord Injury, Homeless Continuum Veteran Program, Hospice and Palliative Care Program, Suicide Prevention Program, Veterans Justice Outreach, Caregiver Support Program and Community Nursing Home Program. The program coordinator may be the sole practitioner in this specialty at the facility and typically provide direct patient care services in the program area. The program coordinator oversees the daily operation of the program, develop policies and procedures for program operation, and prepare reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use. They may be responsible for the program's budget, developing and monitoring staff compliance with practice, standards and guidelines on documentation, workload, data entry, ethical practice and service delivery. The program coordinator provides analysis and evaluation of clinical program data and computerized programs to identify system-wide trends and needs to enhance the quality of service. They may be responsible for, or contribute to, the program's resource and fiscal management, monitoring control points developing the annual budget, operating within that budget, and accounting for appropriated funds. The program coordinator is administratively responsible for the clinical programming and prepares reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use. They provide leadership, direction, orientation, coaching, in-service training, staff development, and continuing education programs for assigned staff. They initiate and conduct a variety of program or service audits and complete designated clinical practice audits and reports, including productivity assessments. They oversee program operations and evaluations, identifying areas for improvement, gathering relevant data, assessing the
data, developing and implementing ideas for improvement and evaluating efficacy of improvement efforts.

DESCRIPTION

The Alexa Ambient Computing Technologies (AACT) team seeks a driven, highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support the VP of AACT. This position will provide high-level support to the VP and his teams who are engaged in the technological work behind the Alexa we all know and love, while also coordinating with the EA team on organizational projects, and partnering with team members at the Sunnyvale location to create a collaborative and functional workplace. Additionally, this is a Lead EA role and will work with a team of executive assistants.

Key job responsibilities
The EA is responsible to a broad variety of tasks including:
Managing an active VP calendar; meticulous attention to detail in scheduling, coordinating and planning internal meetings, agendas and appointments; planning detailed domestic and international travel, completing expense reports.
Optimizing executive effectiveness through partnership on priorities to react to a fast-moving calendar.
Coordinating with the EA team on organization-wide initiatives.
Serving as the "gatekeeper" to the executives' time, screening and prioritizing appointments/meeting requests while always providing polite and professional communication.
Communicating on behalf of the executives directly with the leadership team and other stakeholders across the organization.
Training other administrative staff on company policies and best practices.

A day in the life
On a day-to-day basic, the Executive Assistant will maintain the VP's calendar, keeping it organized for weeks in advance. This involves maintaining strong working relationships with the VP, partner EAs, and members of the business. Additionally, the Executive Assistant will partner with other EA team members on team events, space administration, and building a proactive outlook for upcoming meetings. Finally, this EA will play an instrumental role at the SJC14 office through maintenance of device storage, set up for team events, and being a general advocate of the team culture.

The Alexa Ambient Computing Technologies team is an important organization that operates across all Alexa teams. The VP this role will be supporting is working on cutting edge products and the tech therein, which are important to all of Amazon. The VP is eager for an Executive Assistant to join to keep things organized and effective, and keep things fun.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
