THE ROLE
The role of Executive Coordinator to the Commissioner for LGBTIQA+ Communities (the Commissioner) is vital, ensuring the smooth operation of the Commissioner's Office. The Executive Coordinator provides a range of executive support functions to the Commissioner and the Commissioner's Principal Advisor. You will primarily provide critical administrative support work, including executive administrative support and diary management. In additionally, you may provide program support for activities set by the Commissioner. You will also be the primary contact for the office and liaise between government and community sectors and strong stakeholder engagement skills are desirable.
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience providing end-to-end executive support and administrative expertise. You will be able to produce high quality letters, emails, or correspondence, including some design skills, have highly developed customer service skills with diverse community members, and experience in supporting events. You will be organised and self-motivated. The role would suit a personable, resilient, committed, and open-minded individual, who enjoys a vibrant and dynamic working environment.
Some working knowledge of Victoria's LGBTIQA+ communities, histories, and key stakeholders is required. Previous experience working in government is essential. Experience in project management is desirable.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

Provide a range of effective executive support functions to the Commissioner and Principal Advisor, including: accurately managing the Commissioner's events diary; providing quality administrative support to committees, working groups and meetings with the Commissioner; and preparing reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues.
Prepare reports, briefs and correspondence.
Arrange meetings, conferences and support events, including liaison with senior executives and government officials and other stakeholders, coordinating papers, organising venues, agendas, taking minutes and follow-up actions and making travel and accommodation arrangements.
