Te Oro are looking for a driven, customer service, administrative powerhouse who will be able multitask in a high paced, energetic youth, music and arts centre. This super star must have a music/arts background, and a genuine love and prior experience of working with young people.
The Te Oro music and arts centre is for people of all backgrounds and ages and offers a wide range of art experiences including visual, craft, heritage and multimedia art to performing arts, theatre and dance. It prides itself on representing the diversity of cultural activities that reinforce the unique character of Tamaki, with a focus on music, dance, visual and performing arts for youth and across a range of age groups.
We have two permanent part time positions available, working 20 hours (Monday - Friday) and 10 hours (Saturday and Sunday) per week at Te Oro Glen Innes
He kōrero mōu: About you
The successful candidate must able to interact and communicate with confidence about the ever-changing arts programme on offer. They should be efficient and knowledgeable with interacting with clients and supporting events. Knowledge and experience with Photoshop and social media would be desirable.
The role will entail welcoming and efficient face to face customer service for visitors to facilities. It is crucial that the required supporting administrative functions are always consistent and maintained at an excellent standard.
Key responsibilities :
Assist with general reception/administration duties as needed
Opening and closing of the centre
Manage registrations and attendance data
Ticket sales/Venue hire
Customer service
We are looking for someone who:
Is positive, energetic, with a can-do attitude where no job is too big or small.
Understands and uses technology with confidence, able to support customers to successfully use information resources and devices.
A minimum of 2 years proven Admin/clerical/secretarial and Customer Service experience is essential.
Social media, communications and desktop publishing capability
Previous experience working with the younger generation
Previous customer service experience with exceptional people skills
Proficient in Microsoft office and working knowledge of financial modules
Excellent administrative and communication skills
Brilliant time management
Experience and passion for the arts
