e are seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team of professionals in the Illinois area. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various hardware and software systems at client locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete installations and provide technical support at client locations within a 60-mile radius of Chicago.
Spend over 80% of your time on route, troubleshooting and resolving Microsoft Windows/UNIX hardware and software issues.
Diagnose and resolve problems with PC hardware and software, including desktops, ATMs, amusement devices, laptops, and peripherals.
Install and configure new PC hardware and software, and develop hard drive images for virtual desktop environments.
Perform basic computer network troubleshooting and maintain proficiency in PC technical fields of expertise.
Develop and document job processes, procedures, and techniques, and effectively communicate them to colleagues.
Maintain equipment inventories, test new hardware and software, and deliver devices to clients as needed.
Be prepared to work on-call and travel to various locations in the Illinois area.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Extensive hands-on experience with hardware repair and fix.
Proficiency in software installations and fieldwork assistance.
A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Previous experience working with small local businesses and ability to lift heavy machines/kiosks/devices if needed.
Comfortable working on route +0% of the time.
