Responsibilities
In this role, you will report to the Customer Care Manager and work closely with multiple departments, including sales, engineering, operations, and customer service, to ensure customer expectations are exceeded with each assignment
You will travel to customer sites to perform planned services, troubleshoot issues, make repairs, recommend spare parts, provide customer phone support, and complete upgrades and modernization of equipment
You will be responsible to deliver total equipment lifecycle management services including, installation, start up and commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, equipment audits and training
A qualified candidate will possess the electrical and mechanical aptitudes in order to effectively communicate issues or problems discovered in the field and the discipline to be able to perform in time-pressured and intensive work requirements
This position will require a minimum of 6-8 weeks of onsite training at our factory
Additional in the field training with senior field service technicians will follow at customer sites
Conduct field service calls at customer sites to provide installation, commissioning, emergency repair, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits, and training services
Perform mechanical and electrical modifications to equipment
Conduct site visit meetings with customer contacts to include explanation of job scope and work completed
Conduct training with customer personnel to ensure understanding of the sequence of operations, proper functionality, and general maintenance of equipment
Dismantle machines for refurbishment or relocation
Achieve service delivery goals including response time, first time fix and customer satisfaction rates
Communicate effectively with field service management and the internal service support team to resolve customer issues efficiently
Provide technical support to customers via phone and email, including off-hour and weekend emergency technical support on a scheduled rotation
Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of all service activities
Provide equipment reliability feedback to quality engineering and collaborate on improvements
Attend training classes and technician meetings as required
Comply to industry, company and customer safe working practices
