Field Service Technician I/II - 5 positions

22-28/hr. Will be trained.

Greater Boston, MA. Contract.

Talentry is seeking Field Service Technicians to join our team in providing innovative technology solutions. We're the leading integrator of payment and information technology and services for intelligent travel solutions worldwide. This position provides support for Boston's public transportation system infrastructure.

Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician performs testing, repair, and maintenance activities on equipment at field sites throughout the Boston Public Transit System. This involves operating and maintaining digital and electronic devices, troubleshooting, and collaborating under supervision. You will be trained!

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assist in setting up, installing, and servicing equipment.
•Support routine campaigns and installations.
•Suggest improvements to circuitry or installation specifications.
•Develop wiring diagrams and equipment layouts.
•Interface professionally with customer agencies.
•Analyze equipment malfunctions using manuals, test equipment, and diagrams.
•Maintain records of maintenance activities.
•Collaborate to resolve hardware issues.
•Perform general maintenance on equipment.
•Build cable assemblies and PCBs as needed.

•Participate in an on-call rotation to support Boston transportation systems (with a stipend).
•Be available for weekend and night shifts.
•Willingness to learn new technical skills that will enhance employability for life!

Minimum Job Requirements:
•Two-year college degree or equivalent in electronics or a related field, plus two years of experience.
•Able to work for any US employer without sponsorships, visa transfers, or temporary visa status.
•Ability to follow instructions for reworking, repairing, testing, and maintaining equipment.
•Excellent communication and customer service skills.
•Willingness to travel.
•Ability to interpret technical material and lift 50 lbs.
•Ability to work in public stations, seasonal temperatures, and demanding environments.
•This position requires drug/alcohol testing per DOT regulations.
