FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the CFO and working alongside the Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career. Your role as a Financial Accountant will be broad and varied. The position will be hands-on, and you will take responsibility for a mixture of daily finance operations and month-end reporting.
Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
End to end responsibility of the Accounts Receivable function including approving sales order in the system, credit control, invoicing, month end balance reconciliation, emailing customer statements and follow up for payments.
Assisting with Accounts payable including entering invoices in the system, checking pricing and other details with Purchase orders / GRNs while ensuring proper approvals are in place.
Recording all banking and credit card transactions and reconciliations Bank reconciliations
Complete responsibility of Payroll function which includes weekly and monthly payment runs, adding new employees in the system, monthly payroll tax returns, processing superannuation payments and payroll reconciliations
Maintain records and usage of company cars, mobile phones,
Workers’ compensation insurance premium payments reconciliation and renewals
Assisting with month end process and general ledger scrutinies at month end
Preparation and processing of payroll and other month end journals
Assisting CFO with ad hoc duties
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience as an Accountant.
Demonstrated experience using MYOB & XERO.
Any prior knowledge of Salesforce / Employment Hero is an added advantage
High level of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
Excellent analytical and time management skills and able to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
Tertiary qualified in Finance/Accounting and be CPA/CA qualified or studying towards this.
Strong eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines
Must possess strong working knowledge of accounting principles.
