Work you’ll do
As an Assistant Manager in our Financial Modeling team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You’ll:
Take an active role in delivering advisory services to high growth organizations with a diverse team
Be a part of team to design, develop and test models taking into consideration various scenarios and sensitivities the model will be exposed to.
Actively execute model development / model review engagements.
Independently perform modeling work in secondment opportunities.
Executing assignments within deadlines, providing value add to clients, maintaining client relationship
Create long term relationships with Deloitte member firms
Achieve expertise in a specialization
Facilitate the integration process of new recruits
Take an active role in contribution to the working environment of the team
The kind of engagements we typically get involved in include developing/reviewing models and deriving analysis to support:
Mergers & acquisitions
Private equity buy-side and sell-side
Strategy business planning
Feasibility studies
Working capital & cash flow management
Corporate & financial restructuring
Carve out & divestment
Post-merger integration
Cost reduction programs
Qualifications
Academic achievements with preferably a Master’s Degree in Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering or other relevant qualification (CA / CWA / MBA / CFA / CPA etc)
Preferable to have:
Minimum 2 year of relevant work experience related to financial modeling
Strong excel skills - other relevant technical analytical skills could also be an advantage e.g. Excel VBA, Power BI, SQL, Power Query.
Knowledge of Advanced Excel , Python, strong mathematical and quantitative skills
Having followings will be advantageous
Knowledge of Monte Carlo Simulation technique
Knowledge of Indian accounting standards / IFRS / US GAAP
Experience in using valuation tools, including Bloomberg, financial research portals etc.
General knowledge of accounting standards, corporate tax mechanisms, indirect taxes, cross country tax implications.
Expected to possess:
Strong conceptualization skills and ability to convert plans to actions
Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills backed by an enthusiastic approach and a diligent client focus.
Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong external consulting or advisory experience is a plus
