Quick Apply Full-time 2 days ago Full Job Description Full Job Description We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
The Controller is to assist the CFO in ensuring the financial statements, including books and records, are prepared and maintained in accordance with GAAP.
Like the CFO, the Controller is responsible for ensuring compliance with company financial and accounting polices and procedures and also ensuring internal controls are effective in both design and operation, including the routine monitoring of controls.
The Controller is to ensure the monthly close deadlines are timely met, account reconciliation and supporting documentation is maintained for all activities, account analysis is performed, prepare various packages as requested (e.
g.
, cost report, tax, etc.
) and to assist in various projects as requested.
This position offers a diverse set of responsibilities and will work alongside senior management on various projects.
The position will lead a team of accountants and staff that support multiple operating companies within a regional structure.
The candidate must be a skilled financial professional who understands business, operations, and financial processes; has the ability to integrate finance and operations; and can collaborate with operational leadership.

Financial and Operational Management Coordinate the annual filing of Arkansas DHS cost reporting and Medicare cost reporting.
Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, regulatory requirements.
Establish and maintain a system of internal controls and ensure the accuracy of financial reports, adapt to operational requirements and meet the internal control objectives of government compliance and processes.
Partner with the information technology (IT) leadership to procure specialized finance IT systems that meet the needs of the organization.
Represent the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, auditors and external partners.
Provide oversight for the accounts payable processes to ensure compliance with applicable company guidelines.
Direct and prepare for the annual compilation of financial statements.

Coordinate all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Payroll interfaces to the accounting systems.
Manage and develop current and future finance and accounting staff Oversee best Accounting practices including staying up to date on top accounting software Coordinate the publishing of timely monthly financial statements Research technical accounting issues for compliance Support month-end and year-end close process Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Additional controller duties as necessary Position Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, or economics required.
MBA or CPA certification required 5
years of professional general business and financial experience Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups and other data manipulation formulas).
Experience with creating financial statements Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process Experience identifying areas for continuous improvement or cost reductions and making recommendations for enhancement.
Partnering with others for implementation.
Experience consolidating complex information into usable customer oriented formats Work Requirements Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.

Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
