The opportunity

Join our Finance Leadership team in a 11-month fixed term contract to lead and manage financial operations for our New Zealand business.
Based in Auckland CBD, this role offers a hybrid, flexible working environment and the chance to be part of a dynamic, globally connected organisation.
Your new role

This role is pivotal in overseeing financial operations across the New Zealand business unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting financial reporting obligations. You’ll lead a high-performing financial control team, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for both consolidated and local requirements.

You’ll also play a key role in stakeholder engagement, talent development, and the implementation of accounting policies and audit processes. Key aspects of your role will include:

Leading financial and regulatory reporting, analysis, and reconciliation to meet statutory and divisional requirements.
Ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory and company standards.
Managing internal and external audits to validate financial integrity and compliance.
Driving accurate financial analysis and identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
Collaborating with senior stakeholders to align financial strategies with broader business goals.
Leading the implementation of new accounting standards and policies.
Contributing to the vision and continuous improvement of consolidated financial reporting processes.
Providing visible leadership, managing team performance, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will progress through a phone screen with our Talent Acquisition team, followed by two interviews (in person or via Microsoft Teams), and standard background checks.

About you

We’re looking for a collaborative and proactive leader & team player who thrives in a dynamic environment. You bring a strong foundation in financial management and technical accounting, along with a curious mindset and adaptability to change.

You’ll bring:

Extensive experience in financial management and reporting.
Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing or mentoring teams.
A progressive career with increasing levels of responsibility.
Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or equivalent.
Preferred experience in financial services.
