We are seeking a dedicated and safety focused Advanced First Aid / Security Attendant to join our team. This full-time position is based at our Strathnaver location, located 75 km south of Prince George and 40 km north of Quesnel, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for emergency response, administering first aid, site monitoring, fire prevention, and providing general security services. The role follows a 12-hour rotational shift schedule, including both day and night shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
Act as the primary on-site First Aid Attendant and emergency responder
Monitor site security and conduct regular patrols of the property
Participate in fire prevention duties and hazard assessments as required
Assist in maintaining first aid room supplies, documentation, and compliance
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents, injuries, or safety concerns
Support overall safety culture and collaborate with the health & safety team
Use company communication systems (radio, computer, phones) effectively
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and technical skills:
Valid Occupational First Aid (OFA) – Advanced certification – formerly Level 3 certification (required)
Experience as a primary First Aid Attendant in an industrial or remote setting
Security experience or background in a related field is an asset
Excellent communication, situational awareness, and decision-making skills
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
Computer proficiency (basic reporting, documentation, email, etc.)
Must be bondable and able to maintain confidentiality
