1 role per Zone location: Rhodes, Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Tamworth, Dubbo, Metford and Goonellabah.
About the opportunity
The Flood Rescue and Operations Coordinator is a new role which will support the delivery of exceptional flood rescue and operations functions. This role will coordinate flood rescue response, capability assessments and development, quality assurance checks and reporting, and operational readiness across the zone to which it belongs.
In this role, you will oversee flood rescue response, pre-incident planning, work with Zone colleagues to enhance operational capability management and ensure our agency's adeptness in flood rescues. You'll be part of a team to analyse data, devising and implementing risk mitigation strategies for day-to-day flood rescue operations.

About you
To be successful in this role you will:
Be able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of emergency management requirements, the NSW SES’ legislated role and the AIIMS principles and processes.
Have experience in working in Incident Management Teams during emergency situations.
Be experienced in leading a team in a high pressure and time critical environment.
Be proficient in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, internal and external
Hold the qualification of Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill Sets TAESS00015 (or equivalent/higher) or commitment to obtain this qualification within 6 months if not already held.
Have the ability and willingness to participate in on-call rosters (including weekends and out of core business hours).
Hold a current Driver’s Licence and/or the ability to travel throughout NSW
