Aeone (a software startup) seeks to hire a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack to work on various products, including our first products: Creatr and Veucast. As one of the founding engineers on the team; this role will give you an opportunity and exposure to lead, own and build to state-of-the-art innovations in the creator economy and SaaS space from the ground up. This role has a potential path to CTO.

Aeone has two products: Creatr (a SaaS product) and Veucast (a social media platform), with more in the pipelines. Aeone Veucast makes it fun, safer, simpler, and convenient for our users to share content as well as build strong communities online. Aeone Creatr is a powerful SaaS platform that consolidates over 10 tools into one, making it easier for content creators and talent managers to connect with brands and monetize their audience. We are using robust unique AI algorithms to bring the world closer together, never sell user data, all while ensuring fair compensation for content creators. Our products are available on iOS, Android, Web, and Desktop. We have ambitious goals to scale growth and adoption of our services around the world and delight our customers with a great product.

The long-term vision of the Engineering team is to make Aeone’s products effortlessly engaging, convenient, and life-changing for all our customers. We are creating an experience that understands why and when customers engage with different types of contents or take different actions and build our products to foresee and satisfy those needs. We are also working with the Core AI Team (a team under construction) in building the capabilities to give Aeone’s products/services the ability to help customers discover and find all types of relevant information and contents through in-app interactions, suggestions, search, and personalized recommendations. The team also handles both frontend and backend Infrastructure, where we delight customers when we accurately understand their intent expressed via interaction with content, ease-of use, and reflect that understanding throughout the front-end design and UI implementation of our products - from layout, design, feel, to the search results visuals and navigation.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a Sr. full stack engineer, you will provide technical leadership to the teams building Aeone platform solutions for Creatr and Veucast Web, Mobile, Tablet, etc as well as lead a small team of engineers. You will ensure that the best engineering practices are followed and that our software is designed to be responsive, reliable, and maintainable. You will be working with our great designers and product team to build software that millions use. You will work closely with other teams throughout Aeone to design and architect solutions that will scale to hundreds of millions of customers. You will be a role model and mentor for other engineers on the team. You will be part of a strong team in a fast-paced, start-up environment where agile development is embraced, and innovation is encouraged.

You love working with a smart, talented team because you know that makes you better. You love solving complex problems with simple code. Your responsibilities include:
• You will work with the CEO to define the engineering product vision and roadmap
• Recruit the engineering team locally and internationally.
• Design, develop, and deploy the Creatr platform (from scratch using existing UI).
• Enhance and update the Veucast iOS/Android App
• Design, develop, and deploy other Aeone products on the product roadmap
• Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code-reviews.
• Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop innovative, consumer facing device experiences using a variety of technologies (e.g. Android, iOS, React).
• Develop highly scalable web services using Java and latest Azure or AWS technologies (EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, RDS, Kubernetes, Load Balancing, S3 and more).
• Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Integrate various payment gateways and processors.
• Analyze and optimize applications to maximize speed and scale, factoring in network latency and bandwidth constraints.
• Work closely with Artificial Intelligence (ML; NLUs, NLPs, LLMs) to help model various datasets, interactions, and recommendation automations.
• Launch new features in the US and International markets working closely with other Aeone teams.
• Improve Operational Excellence including latency and scalability.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software with high velocity.
• Help define standards, implement them, and promote best practices for your team.
• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to develop requirements and create solutions.

Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of expertise with front-end and back-end engineering
• 5+ years of experience in the design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Speed; able to ship features weekly.
• Collaborative, with a high degree of ownership.
• Full stack development experience, including web services
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Self-motivated and can work with ambiguity
• Enthusiasm for promoting high-quality standard in others across: documentation, unit testing, code reviews, test automation, continuous integration and deployment

Preferred Qualifications
• 10+ years of full-time software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Experience working for a Big Tech firm and at a SaaS startup, and building products from 0 to 1
• Are or have been a content creator.
• Experience building or scaling a SaaS product
• Experience in implementing Payment Processing Gateways
• Experience implementing User permissions
• Experience procuring and implementing third party APIs
• Experience procuring and implementing Data Analysis and visualization APIs; machine learning
• Experience in multiple languages (e.g. Typescript, Java, React, CSS, HTML5, Python, C++, NodeJS)
• Master's degree or PhD in computer science
• Experience developing and scaling mobile and web services in a high growth environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced writing and spoken English proficiency.

Compensation Structure

This role starts off paid in equity, 1% - 5%. After the Seed Round closes, the base pay for this position ranges from $75,000/year to $100,000/year.
