Position: Freelance Graphic Designer for Paramount Publishing (gtrmag.com and pax-intl.com)
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a strong passion for design and a proven portfolio. The role focuses primarily on print and digital magazine layout and design, so demonstrated experience in publication design (magazines) is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Create visually compelling graphics, illustrations, and layouts for print and digital magazines and related media
Design and produce marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, and social media graphics
Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and editorial standards
Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and production teams to meet project objectives and deadlines
Prepare and optimize designs for both print and digital platforms, including web and mobile
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in graphic and publication design
Use Adobe InDesign (primary software), along with Illustrator and Photoshop, to produce high-quality design work
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field
Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, ideally within magazine or publication design
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, grid systems, and layout principles
Working knowledge of web design technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with content management systems, including Drupal and SharePoint, is an asset
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Pay: $35-$40/hour
