Responsibilities
The Hotel Guest Service Agent, Front Desk Clerk, or Front Desk Agent is to greet customers, you will check guests in, make reservations, recommend local activities or restaurants, and arrange transportation
The ideal Hotel Guest Service Agent, Front Desk Clerk, or Front Desk Agent is outgoing and confident, enjoys working with people, and pays close attention to the details
Welcome all guests and confirm bookings upon their arrival
Act as a point of contact for guests who require help or information and attend to their wants and needs
Arrange activities, excursions, and transportation for hotel guests per their request
Provide the best local recommendations, gather in-depth knowledge about the premises as well as surrounding venues and businesses
Answer any issues or complaints made by guests and come up with solutions quickly

Some Key Areas of Responsibility for the Hotel Front Desk Clerk, Front Office Agent or Guest Service Agent include:

Requirements for the Hotel Front Desk Clerk, Front Office Agent, or Guest Service Agent include:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• One year of experience in the hospitality industry as a hotel front desk agent, hotel receptionist, or guest service specialist preferred
• Knowledge of the local area to make recommendations for a variety of services
• Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
