Review room status and group activity and effectively communicate information to other departments to increase team efficiency and overall productivity
Help with security by ensuring cashier reports balance, banks and deposits are verified, and key control is monitored
Follows all guidelines in regard to guest service, including, but not limited to check-in, reservations, check out, and special requests
Respond promptly to any guests’ inquiries or complaints and offer alternate solutions when necessary
Demonstrate commitment to servicing the guest by being hospitable and accommodating
Report shift experience to department manager(s) and notice for any guest follow up requirements
Job description
Embassy Suites by Hilton Jacksonville is looking for a new experienced Front Desk Supervisor to join our team.
As a Front Desk Supervisor you will:
• Oversee the front desk staff to ensure optimal guest experience and smooth front desk operation.
• Create an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best, and advance. Oversee a diverse team of motivated desk agents by modeling the way, by training, and empowering them.
• Review room status and group activity and effectively communicate information to other departments to increase team efficiency and overall productivity.
• Help with security by ensuring cashier reports balance, banks and deposits are verified, and key control is monitored.
• Follows all guidelines in regard to guest service, including, but not limited to check-in, reservations, check out, and special requests.
• Explain any of the hotel’s promotional items, and mention various hotel amenities, (i.e. free breakfast, spa, fitness center, voice mail, etc.)
• Respond promptly to any guests’ inquiries or complaints and offer alternate solutions when necessary.
• Demonstrate commitment to servicing the guest by being hospitable and accommodating.
• Report shift experience to department manager(s) and notice for any guest follow up requirements.
Qualifications
• A high school education or equivalent
• At least 1 year of front desk agent experience required
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to handle cash or credit transactions with high sense of security
• Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• PEP experience highly preferred
• Open Availability is REQUIRED for this position. Schedule restrictions will not be considered.
