Exciting Front Office Receptionist Opportunity at 47 Park Street, Grand Residences by Marriott.
Part of Marriott Vacations Worldwide distinctive global brands, 47 Park Street, Grand Residences by Marriott is located in the heart of Mayfair and is London’s first fractional ownership luxury property. We offer an alternative option to second home ownership in 4+ beautiful one-and two-bedroom serviced apartments each with elegant interiors rich in period detail in keeping with the 20th century Edwardian architecture.
Position Summary
You’ll be the welcoming face of our property and the front line for greeting Members and guests, taking care of their needs and requests — and helping make sure they have a great vacation experience.
In your role you will:
• Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations in computer system, verifying guest identity, requesting form of payment, and issuing room key in accordance with property policies and procedures.
• Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, complaints or requests using brand or property specific process.
• Answer telephones using brand standards and appropriate etiquette.
• Prepare and review written documents (e.g., daily logs, business letters, memoranda, reports), including proofreading and editing written information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Concierge, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security/Loss Prevention) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem.
• Take room service orders over the phone. Have a full understanding of the menu and any dietary requirements.
• Accept and record wake-up call and deliver wake-up calls for guests at requested time.
• Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
• Count float at the beginning and end of shift.
• Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
• Obtain manual authorizations and follow all Accounting procedures when computer system is down.
• Assist staff with expediting problem payments (e.g., problems processing credit card).
• Block rooms in the computer and identify designated requirements and requests (e.g., guaranteed room types, special requests, VIP's, early arrivals, guest recognition).
• Make reservations via phone or email, use central reservations system to quote and enter reservations
• Make reservations for Members during out of office hours.
What we’re looking for:
• Minimum 1 year prior related experience in hotel front desk or front office
• Well groomed and professional demeanor
• Opera PMS knowledge is essential
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude and warm personality
• A team player
• Problem-solving skills and multi-tasking ability
• Flexibility to work 5/7 days, on shift rotation 7.00am-3.30pm and 2.30pm-11.00pm, including weekends and public holidays.
• Prospective candidates must be able to communicate fluently in spoken and written English, multilingual skills are an advantage
